Animals in London are not exactly the first thing one thinks of when considering this big city. Yet this became the main theme of my book project. For two weeks, I observed London through the eyes of a peregrine falcon, which led to the idea of a gradual transformation into animals. In the book, the reader starts at a distance as an observer and becomes progressively wilder toward the center—seeing and feeling through the perspective of different animals. Scale relationships are reflected in the layout as well as in the chosen materials and binding. The project explores how one moves from being an observer to becoming the animal.
